romantic daydreaming...

I love some of the amazing jewels you can find clicking away from one blog link to another.

Yesterday I discovered rifle design - what can i say...I am a sucker for stationery and all things pretty!

Not only did I discover Anna's amazing diy lighted paper pennant below but I also came across one of her recent posts on Turkey...which sent me along the daydreaming path also.  Doesn't it look brilliant?!?

Of course this is strictly daydreaming for the moment as I don't have the luxury of time or money this year...but hopefully, this dream will come true in the not too distant future!  This is a beautiful hotel in Cappadocia, Turkey.

One of the other gems I came across was this sweet alphabet print in Anna's shop.  Classroom inspiration!

a little bit of comfort food...

My Grandma has been visiting this past week and she shouted me a ticket to go and see Wicked with her yesterday - which was thoroughly enjoyable!

We also had a wonderful lunch at Comfort at My Table - fabulous little eaterie in Milton.  It's worth going just to enjoy the sweet decor - I especially love the soft pink wallpaper on the back wall and decal of birds in a cage.

We both got a lovely Country Caesar Salad
with rosemary roasted chips and homemade aioli & relish - yum!

doings...

Well...a lot has changed since my last update so I will update on all the juicy details!

First of  all and most excitingly...I quit my job to become a student again! (Not possible without my wonderfully supportive other half!)  I'm now in my second week studying a Graduate Diploma of Education to become a Primary School Teacher - woo!

Theoretically this also gives me some more free time to pursue my candle making craft business...I must say my timetable is looking pretty hectic already however there's no time like the present!

Despite the floods and rain swept weather of the past few months I've also managed to escape on a few beach side adventures which have been absolute bliss!  Most recent, a sun drenched weekend away with the girls in the sleepy nsw town of Brunswick Heads.  We stayed above the gorgeous local pub - which was the hub of the town and a short 10 minute walk to the beach.  The weekend consisted of swimming, much laughing, guzzling a mouth-watering falafel pocket, virtually inhaling an icy cold strawberry milkshake, reading and more swimming.
Burleigh - after a swim, enjoying a carafe of Monteith's - the purrrfect Sunday sesh!

My friends all make fun, but I just can't resist taking photos of some of the fabulous things I have the pleasure of putting in my mouth, par example...
Falafel-riffic!  Filled with fresh hummus, cucumber, tomato, chilli sauce, tzatziki and of course falaffels!!

Yesterday I embarked on my first market stall at Suitcase Rummage in Brisbane City thanks to the lovely Kath from bunnyhornet who kindly lent me her space and provided tons of encouragement and advice.  Kath makes gorgeous brooches, hairpins, earrings, rings and more - see all her lovely goodies here on etsy!
My lovely retro suitcase for rummaging through...
The full set-up!
My neighbour, the lovely Carmen who gave me a muesli bar (knew I forgot something!)

Looking forward to more markets to come (minus the sunburn - whoops!)
